Academics, as well as people working in organisations and democratic institutions, believe that an enhanced form of leadership is required to address many of the current challenges that face us (local, national and international; social, economic and environmental).
The broad need can be summarised as:
an integrated approach to leadership, enterprise and democracy education,
that enables people of a variety of ages, from a variety of backgrounds
to work together effectively to address the major challenges of our time,
in a coherent and accountable way.
Our overall long-term intention is:
to be widely recognised as
making a significant contribution to fulfilling the need for
an enhanced form of leadership in many sectors of society
by working successfully and sustainably,
in a diverse range of settings (political, economic, social, technological);
which may also be characterised by
a wide range of complex and sometimes conflicting stakeholder interests.
